Philly Cheer Elite: Uplifting Philadelphia's LGBTQIA+ Community through Cheerleading

Philly Cheer Elite is a community-driven, all-volunteer nonprofit with a clear mission: to promote visibility, advocacy, and empowerment for the LGBTQIA+ community—one routine at a time.

Founded on the belief that cheerleading can be a powerful form of expression, we bring energy and spirit to parades, fundraisers, and events across Philadelphia. But behind the stunts and sparkles is a deeper purpose: showing up for our community and raising awareness for the issues that impact it most.

Rooted in Visibility and Inclusion

Our team includes individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and backgrounds—many of whom didn’t see themselves reflected in traditional cheer spaces. We’re here to change that.

Through every appearance, we aim to show that LGBTQIA+ folks belong at the center of the action. Whether it’s cheering at local Pride parades, performing at Phillies Pride Night, or hyping up runners at the Philadelphia Love Run, our presence is a form of joyful resistance—and a celebration of queer identity.

More Than a Performance

We don’t perform for profit—we perform for impact. Our routines raise awareness for LGBTQIA+ nonprofits, amplify messages of equality, and support causes that build a better, more inclusive Philadelphia.

Community-Powered, Always

As a 100% volunteer-run organization, Philly Cheer Elite thrives on teamwork. We welcome performers, fundraisers, choreographers, photographers, and anyone who wants to contribute. No cheer experience? No problem. If you believe in queer joy and community spirit, there’s a place for you here.

We don’t just cheer for the LGBTQIA+ community—we are the LGBTQIA+ community. And we show up with open arms, raised voices, and high kicks that demand attention.

Want to support our mission? Volunteer with us, donate, or book us for your next community event. Learn more at phillycheerelite.org or follow us on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Let’s raise each other up—literally.
